Mission & Beliefs

An open Bible held in hand
Our Vision

We see every person as valuable, created in God's image, and destined for a relationship with Him through Jesus — helping people truly see Jesus, joyfully receive the new life He offers, and respond by living a restored life of healthy relationships, strong families, and thriving communities.

Our Mission

LifeChurch aims to help people SEEK Jesus for who He is, RECEIVE Jesus joyfully, and RESPOND to Jesus through a RESTORED LIFE.

Luke 19:1–10 BSB 1Then Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through. 2And there was a man named Zacchaeus, a chief tax collector, who was very wealthy. 3He was trying to see who Jesus was, but could not see over the crowd because he was small in stature. 4So he ran on ahead and climbed a sycamore tree to see Him, since Jesus was about to pass that way. 5When Jesus came to that place, He looked up and said, “Zacchaeus, hurry down, for I must stay at your house today.” 6So Zacchaeus hurried down and welcomed Him joyfully. 7And all who saw this began to grumble, saying, “He has gone to be the guest of a sinful man!” 8But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord, half of my possessions I give to the poor, and if I have cheated anyone, I will repay it fourfold.” 9Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man too is a son of Abraham. 10For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
Our Beliefs

At LifeChurch, what we believe shapes how we worship, how we live, and how we care for others. Our foundation is the Word of God, and our faith centers on Jesus Christ. These beliefs express our understanding of Scripture and the hope we have in Him.

About God

We believe there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each is equal in power and glory. God created all things, sustains all things, and rules over all things.

Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; John 1:1–3; Colossians 1:16–17; Psalm 103:19

About God the Father

We believe God the Father is personal, infinite, and perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. He cares about our lives, hears and answers prayer, and mercifully saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.

Matthew 6:6–13; Psalm 103:8–13; John 3:16–17; John 14:6

About Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is God’s only begotten Son, fully God and fully human. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin, He lived a sinless life, performed miracles, and taught the truth of God. He died in our place, paying the price for our sins, and rose bodily from the dead. He ascended into heaven, intercedes for His people, and will personally and visibly return to earth.

John 1:1–3; John 1:14; Matthew 1:18–23; Hebrews 4:15; John 14:6; 1 Corinthians 15:3–8; Acts 1:9–11; Revelation 1:7

About the Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He gives new life to those who trust in Jesus, lives within every believer, and helps us grow in holiness. He is our abiding Helper, Teacher, and Guide.

We also believe Jesus baptizes believers with the Holy Spirit and power for service. This baptism is distinct from the Spirit’s work in salvation and may occur when a person is born again or afterward. We believe all biblical gifts of the Spirit remain active today and should be exercised in ways that reflect the fruit of the Spirit.

John 16:8–13; Titus 3:5–6; Romans 8:9–14; John 14:16–17; 14:26; Matthew 3:11; Acts 1:4–8; 2:1–4; 19:1–6; 1 Corinthians 12:4–11; 13:1–13; 1 Peter 4:10–11

About the Bible

We believe the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God, without error in the original manuscripts. Scripture is our final and trustworthy authority for what we believe and how we live.

2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21; Psalm 19:7–11; John 17:17; Matthew 5:18

About Salvation

We believe all people are separated from God by sin and are responsible for their own sin. Yet God freely offers salvation, redemption, and forgiveness to everyone through Jesus Christ.

Salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through repentance and faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior. When a person trusts in Him, that person is born again, forgiven, sealed by the Holy Spirit, and welcomed into God’s family with the assurance of eternity with the Lord.

Romans 3:23; 6:23; John 3:3–8; 16–18; Acts 20:21; Romans 10:9–13; Ephesians 2:8–9; John 1:12–13; 1 John 5:11–13

About the Church

We believe the Church is the living, spiritual body of Christ. Jesus is its Head, and everyone who has been born again belongs to His body. As His people, we gather to worship, study God’s Word, grow in faith, encourage one another, and serve Him together.

Ephesians 1:22–23; Colossians 1:18; 1 Corinthians 12:12–27; Acts 2:42–47; Hebrews 10:24–25; Ephesians 4:11–16

About Baptism and Communion

We believe Jesus gave the Church two ordinances: water baptism and the Lord’s Supper. We practice baptism by immersion and regularly celebrate Communion in remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice, following the instructions of Scripture.

Matthew 28:19–20; Acts 8:36–39; Matthew 26:26–29; 1 Corinthians 11:17–34

About Prayer and Healing

We believe in praying for the sick, including the laying on of hands and anointing with oil by the elders. We also practice the laying on of hands when commissioning pastors and missionaries for ministry.

James 5:14–16; Mark 6:13; Acts 28:8–9; Acts 13:2–3; 1 Timothy 4:14; 2 Timothy 1:6

About Marriage and Sexuality

We believe marriage is the lifelong covenant union of one man and one woman. Marriage reflects the relationship between Christ and His Church and provides for intimate companionship and the bearing of children. We believe sexual intimacy is God’s gift within marriage and that sexual activity outside this covenant is sin.

Genesis 2:23–24; Matthew 19:4–6; 1 Thessalonians 4:3; Ephesians 5:3

About Sex and Gender

We believe God creates each person as male or female and that sex and gender are inseparably determined by His design, as revealed at birth. We believe attempts to change one’s sex or gender through surgery, medicine, appearance, or other means are contrary to God’s created order.

Genesis 1:27; Genesis 2:18–22; Romans 12:1–2; 1 Corinthians 6:19–20

About the Sanctity of Life

We believe every human life is sacred from conception to its natural end. We are unapologetically pro-life and believe abortion violates God’s design for human life. Our commitment includes caring for the physical and spiritual needs of others, both before and after birth.

Psalm 139:13; Isaiah 49:1; Jeremiah 1:5

About Christ’s Return

We believe Jesus will gather His Church to Himself in the rapture before the tribulation. We also believe He will personally and visibly return to earth with His saints and reign for one thousand years. His reign will bring the salvation of national Israel and the establishment of universal peace.

This hope calls us to holy living, heartfelt worship, faithful service, diligent study of Scripture, and regular fellowship, including participation in baptism and Communion.

John 14:1–3; 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18; 1 Corinthians 15:51–52; Titus 2:13; 1 Thessalonians 1:10; 1 Thessalonians 5:9–10; Revelation 3:10; Acts 1:11; Zechariah 14:4–5; Revelation 1:7; Revelation 19:11–16; Romans 11:25–27; Ezekiel 37:21–28; 2 Peter 3:11–14; 1 John 3:2–3

About Judgment and Eternity

We believe there will be a final judgment in which those who have rejected Christ will be judged for their sins and face eternal punishment in the lake of fire.

We look forward to the new heavens and new earth that Christ is preparing for all who have accepted Him. Following His millennial reign, we will dwell with Him forever.

John 3:18; John 3:36; Matthew 25:31–46; Revelation 20:11–15; Revelation 21:1–8
